So he is always lifting it up to turn. The space between front and back wheels is small, so when child scoots on it, he has to watch out for his toes constantly. My grandson sat on it and played with the ignition, horn and blinkers until just recently as it was too hard for him to operate. He is a normal 21 month size currently. <br />The seat is hard to change from sit to push. And you can hurt your fingers doing it. <br />Overall, I think this vehicle is cute and noises fun, but it just isn't too functional and a little damaging to toes and fingers. I wanted something that would be fun, education and movement oriented. This is a spectacular toy. At my grandson's 1st birthday party, we had 4 boys under the age of 1 1/2 years and the truck was fought over. However, once we showed them that you could put things in the storage compartment AND it would pick things up with the truck while riding it, the boys began letting each other ride while the other boys put things in front of the truck to pick up and the other toddlers would unload. Once we assembled it and he started playing problems started popping up. He wasn't interested in it like I had hoped. He played with the shapes by themselves and didn't push the truck much. The sounds didn't really interest him much either. I was surprised because he usually loves sounds on toys. Needless to say, he is still 9 months old so he cannot utilize the two other features of this truck yet (walking and riding).
